Student Interns Hired for Goodall Outreach Efforts
The Outreach Coordinator has recently hired two interns from Wofford College to assist in planning, publicizing, and hosting community educational events. By inviting students to take an active role in the Thinking Like a River initiative, we hope to enrich our relationship with the main Wofford campus and also create ties between the college and the greater Spartanburg community.
As of February, two new players have been introduced into the Thinking Like a River movement. Savannah Paige Murray and Karen Gravely have been hired as student interns to work directly with the Outreach Coordinator to create new and exciting programming for the Glendale Shoals. Their enthusiasm will bring a fresh dynamic to our program, and will hopefully encourage even more students to take part in activities at this satellite location.
Although only two students have been officially hired, we are always happy to accommodate students with an interest in becoming involved. Not only does this provide an opportunity for Wofford students to build skills for their post- undergraduate lives, but also allows them to get to know Spartanburg outside of their own campus.
Thinking Like a River welcomes Savannah Paige and Karen, and we look forward to the work that will be accomplished this spring!
